Our Story
Early in the year 2004, investors Dick Waldron and Joe Creighton saw a need for a “next generation” aluminum composite material (ACM) panel system. As principals of SECO Architectural Systems, they had become familiar with various systems, and therefore knew of the shortcomings of most commercially available ACM systems. The key shortcoming of systems available at the time was that they weren’t installer friendly. Additionally, panel systems were not typically of a high-performance nature and therefore testing, (fire, structural and weather resistance) was not readily available for these systems.
Waldron and Creighton felt that an opportunity existed to create a company and a panel system that would raise the bar in terms of performance, (higher wind resistance, superior weather protection, greater structural properties, greater flatness characteristics) and that would offer a product that was easier and faster to install.
After months of engineering, development and extensive product testing, the AccuTrac system was unveiled as the new flagship product of the envisioned new company.
